The relatively young acts in the industry have been louder than the usual suspects in recent times, not taking away from the “big guns” as they are not to be underrated.
The focus has however been on the new kids on the block and the ones that are still trying to find their way on the block.
The likes of Humblesmith, Sugarboy, Dremo, Mayorkun, Mr Eazi, Zoro, Dice Ailes, Niniola to mention but a few have been able to register their name as forces to be reckoned with on the Nigerian music scene releasing some very good contents over the past months.
The focus of this article is however on the next group of fresh bloods in the industry that are hotly tipped to make a name for themselves.

Topping this list, is Terry Apala, the very unique singer with a distinct voice and style, making him one hot talent to look out for 2017.
This super-talented singer already has 3 very good songs that are quite popular under his belt, including; “Mo Popular,” “Champagne Showers” and most recently “Omidan”.

The next talented act everyone needs to look out for in 2017 is “Dotman”
2016 has been a good year for this young singer, dropping the visuals of his single with Olamide “Yes Melo” to dropping a song that is gradually becoming a club anthem “Akube”.
Dotman has had his fan base grown significantly over the last couple of months and is becoming one of the hottest boys coming through. Real talent that must be paid attention.
Wale Turner story is one that inspires.. From making Instagram skits to recording a proper song and shooting a very good video to accompany.
Hottest!!! As he is sometimes referred to is a very good rapper cum singer that will most definitely be one of the most talked about acts in 2017 for the right reasons.
The young act seems like one that is very hungry for success and an hardworking type.
His trending single “No” is enjoying good public acceptance and the visuals directed by Director Q is without doubt one of the factors gradually making this song a street anthem.

Next on the list is Geniuzz, the versatile singer signed to Yemi Alade’s record label “Effyzzie Music Group”. The man from Jos is gradually climbing the ladder of the Nigerian music industry, expanding his reach step-by-step. This very talented young man already has a couple of decent singles under his belt including; “Kakaraka”, “On My Own” “Underrate ft Yemi Alade”and most recently “Connect” and “Firewood”. If one listens to all these songs, no single ounce of doubt will be left as regards the talent of Geniuzz.
His single “Firewood” has been enjoying airplay within and outside Nigeria and there are talks of a video for the super dope joint already.
Geniuzz is one that had the potential to be one of the loudest new acts in 2017.
The last but definitely not the least on this list is; Runtown’s label mate, Emeka (known by some as Emeka_Official), the former Our records signee has been around for quite some time but hasn’t really broken into the big stage. There is one thing that is certain when it comes to Emeka, and that is; his unique talent. He has been to create a style for himself and it is very likeable. Emeka has previously dropped two singles “Beautiful Day” “Beautiful Monster” and his yearly “Industry Diary” series before signing with Eric Manny and releasing his most recent single and the first one under the label “In My Zone”.
The singer has confirmed that the visuals to the dope club banger will be out soon and this will most definitely make this song one that will be heard and enjoyed by a lot of people.
Emeka will be in red-hot form under Eric Manny come 2017 and this will make him a force to reckon with.
Other Artist to watch that didn't made the list are.. Mz Kiss, Dice Ailes, Ckay Yo, Airboy Rado, Ajanaku and Oberz to mention a few
