How To Screen 2016/2017 UTME/Direct Entry Applicants (Jamb Recommendation)

Due to the ongoing controversies  concerning the conduct of post UTME for applicants. The Federal government still stands on the fact that, no university should conduct any exam for its applicants. Though many schools had earlier ignored this directive and went ahead to invite applicants for screening. Until recent time, when the Federal government promised to sanction whosoever disregards its directive and directed those schools to refund the registration fee to all applicants. This has forced many schools to stop tthe selling of their post UTME form immediately. Also, school like UNIBEN is set to refund money to its applicants who has registered.

In the latest development, The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board held a meeting at the B.O Ukeje Auditorium, Nation Commission for colleges of Education, Central Business District Abuja on Tuesday 28th, 29th and 30th to map out admission screening modalities for Colleges of education, polytechnics and Universities.

There after, came up with the screening model that must be adopted by all schools for admission this year. Below is the  Jamb screening model recommended for all Universities and universities.

PROPOSED JAMB MODEL FOR SCREENING OF RECOMMENDED CANDIDATES
This model clearly indicated that no examination is to be conducted and the following steps should be followed to screen applicants.

  1.  Screening of candidates shall be for ONLY candidates recommended for admissions.
  2.  Verification of Course Requirements (O’ levels or A’ levels).
  3. Verification of valid JAMB results by checking.

Therefore, if your name is recommended by Jamb for admission into your school, kindly prepared for screening before the final admission would be granted.
What do you think about this latest development.?
