It's indeed a thing of joy and general feelings of happiness as peace and unity has been restored successfully in our great association, following the outcome of the most well coordinated, peaceful, free and fair election ever conducted in the history of NAOSS Ogun. This election brought about the emergence of unanimously decided set of leadership for the association.
The election was held at Iwe Iroyin (NUJ hall Abk) on the 16th of July, 2016 and it's was witness by the security operatives in Ogun State. The total number of registered chapter was thirty one (31). However 23 institutions were present, only 17 institutions were present with her chapter president and secretary while 5 institution have her president only present. This made total number of accredited voters and expected votes to be 40. All the aspirants were duly represented by their agents. The agents were allowed to examine the number of votes gained for and against their aspirants and at the end they gave a satisfory remarks on the electoral procedures and the outcome of the election was accepted by all. The Following names emerged Winners of the election;

1. Ojediran Ayotunde from Lagos State University - President with 26 votes
2. Talabi Joseph from EKSU - Vice President 1 with 33 votes
3. Abdul Adebayo Shamsideen from Federal Polytechnic Offa - Vice President 2 with 38 votes
4. Shobanke Nofisat from ICT Poly Itori -National General Secretary with 20 votes
5. Adejobi Peter from NOUN Abeokuta - National Assistant General Secretary with 16 votes
6. Oluaina Ayowolemi from Federal College Of Education Akoka - National Public Relation Officer 1 with 26 votes
7. Onifade Oluwatosin from Lagos State Polytechnic - National Welfare Director with 26 votes
8. Ismail Yusuf from LAUTECH - National Social Director with 38 votes
9. Abdulganiyu Zanaib from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto - National Treasurer with 29 votes
10. Akinwande Ghalib from Polytechnic Ibadan - National Secretary for Finance with 21 votes.
11. Makinde Alimat from Federal Polytechnic Offa - National Auditor General with 35 votes.

1. Abdul Fatai Oladapo from FUTMINNA - Senate President with 22 votes
2. Oriola Oladipupo from NOUN Abeokuta - Deputy Senate President with 34 votes.
3. Soile Lukmon from Yaba College of Technology - Senate Clerk with 37 votes.
This tremendous success of the NAOSS electoral committee ably led by Comrade Adesina Ismaila (Mayegun) won't have been possible if not for the effort of the major stakeholders which are chapters president and secretary who made themselves available for the election. Also effort of all other stakeholders such as out gone president of the association, aspirants, and all ever reasonable NAOSSITES can not be overemphasized.
In addition, It won't be pleasant enough, If we failed to acknowledge the fatherly role played by the DPO Ibara police station in ensuring the election becomes a successful one, To our dear father and DPO we say thank you so much, may God bless you and always make all your endeavor prosper, we also acknowledge the effort of the NUJ chairman and secretary Ogun State chapter for their supports towards having a successful election.
To all chapter president and secretary and the entire NAOSSITES, The mission to revive and reposition NAOSS has just begun. it's is believed that you all gave your mandate to get those who you believe can lead the association to a lofty height. Our humbly advice is to let's maintain the peace and unity that has come to stay in NAOSS.
