LASU Outshines the “Federals”

When we say we are the greatest we make no mistake, when we are referred to as articulate its because it is a fact, when the ranking is made, rating LASU the top State University in Nigeria, it is because that is what it is.

Lagos State University is not only known for her doggedness in fighting for that which is right. The institution also accommodates the finest set a Nigerian students across the country. They have done it physically in appearance, now they are doing it again by writing.

It is the 3rd edition of the Nairaland Inter-Universities Debate Competition. The Super Clash between LASU and Funnab which was held on the 26th of December, 2015 was a challenge of the 1st edition winner and the 2nd edition winners respectively on the topic  “Quintessential Nigerian Graduate – A Product of the Institution or Self Development”. LASU representatives, Ojo Timilehin(Timidelaw) and Ojelabi John(Horlapelumi) literally brought the contest to an end just after their post which was the beginning of the debate.

Just 3 days from then, on the 29th December, 2015, in the Debate proper for the third edition, Lasu Team which was listed along side Federal University of Technology, Akure(Futa) and Federal University of Technology, Minna(Futminna) again showed excellence as the three Institutions qualified from the group stage to the next round of the Debate seeing LASU leading with 68.5%, while FUTA had 60.%% and FUTMINNA 31%. Special appreciation to the representatives of this round again, Eluwande Deji(IamDejman) and Edun Timilehin(Eduntee).
